One of our most challenging Bird control projects was a Large foundry site in Birmingham, which produced metals for Aircraft engines, The particular problem here was that Pigeons were seeking the warmth of the foundry and gaining entry through open doors at this was a 24 hour operational site. Hawks had limited safe areas to fly inside due to the high heats involved, So we patrolled a Harris hawk outside, around the building and placed traps on to the roof. The results were that we cleared pigeons well within our stated amount of visits and breathed a sigh of relief that no accidents befell the birds on this near impossible location.
